Smooth Basalt

Smooth basalt is a decorative block in Minecraft, primarily used for building and aesthetic purposes. It can be obtained in two ways: by smelting basalt in a furnace, or by finding it naturally as the outer layer of amethyst geodes. Additionally, smooth basalt can be found in ancient cities. Smooth basalt has no other functional uses; it’s simply a variant of basalt with a smooth texture, mainly used for decoration. Players can utilize its unique texture and color to create distinctive wall or flooring patterns in various construction projects. Introduced in the 1.17 'Caves & Cliffs' update, it provides a more diverse range of building materials alongside basalt and polished basalt.
