Smooth Quartz Block

Smooth Quartz Block is a decorative mineral block in Minecraft, obtained by smelting Quartz Blocks. This block can be mined using any pickaxe; if mined without a pickaxe, it drops nothing. Two smooth quartz blocks generate naturally in each bridge bastion remnant. When placed under a note block, a smooth quartz block produces a "bass drum" sound. Its texture is the same as the top of a quartz slab, leading some to consider its existence somewhat redundant, suggesting using the bottom texture of a quartz slab or removing it completely. Before version 1.13 update, "smooth" blocks were variants of full slab blocks only obtainable through commands, using the slab's top texture on all sides. Smooth quartz blocks are highly stackable with up to 64 blocks and have a hardness of 2, a blast resistance of 6. It is opaque and non-flammable. Smooth Quartz Blocks use different data values in Java and Bedrock Editions.
