Sniffer Egg

Original Title:Sniffer Egg

Languages:

  • Chinese: 嗅探兽蛋
  • English: Sniffer Egg
In Minecraft, the Sniffer Egg is a rare item that cannot be crafted but must be found through specific locations or by breeding Sniffers. This reddish-brown egg with green spots doesn't spawn naturally; it must be obtained through archeological digs or breeding. Players can find Sniffer Eggs by brushing suspicious sand in warm ocean ruins, or by breeding two Sniffers with Torchflower Seeds which will result in an egg being laid as an item. The Sniffer Egg can be placed as a block and will hatch into a snifflet (baby sniffer) over time. If the egg is placed on a moss block, the hatching time is reduced by half. During hatching, the egg cracks twice before finally hatching a snifflet. Sniffers are passive mobs that sniff the ground to locate ancient seeds and dig out Torchflower seeds or Pitcher Pods. These ancient seeds can be used to grow decorative plants. Sniffers cannot be tamed, but they can be bred using Torchflower Seeds. When an adult sniffer is killed, it drops 1–3 experience points. Snifflets cannot dig and do not follow adult sniffers.
