Soul Soil

Soul soil is a unique block in Minecraft, primarily found in the Soul Sand Valley biome of the Nether. Unlike soul sand, soul soil does not slow down players or mobs that walk on it. It can be broken by any tool or by hand, but a shovel is the fastest way to break it. Soul soil is a renewable resource, as soul campfires crafted with soul sand drop soul soil when broken without a Silk Touch tool. Soul soil has a variety of uses in the game, including crafting soul torches and soul campfires, and it is a necessary material for summoning the Wither. In addition, soul soil can be used to generate basalt when lava flows on top of it and is cooled by blue ice. Unlike soul sand, soul soil does not create bubble columns or allow items to fall into hoppers. Fire lit on soul soil becomes soul fire. Soul soil is an important part of Nether exploration and resource collection.
