Soul Torch

The Soul Torch is a special type of torch in Minecraft, distinguished from regular torches by its unique cyan-blue flame. Soul Torches not only provide light but also repel piglins. To craft a Soul Torch, you need sticks, coal (or charcoal), and soul sand or soul soil. Soul sand and soul soil can both be found in the Nether, and are crucial materials for crafting soul torches. The Soul Torch has a lower light level than a regular torch, at 10, meaning it will not melt snow or ice. Additionally, its ability to repel piglins makes it particularly useful in the Nether or areas populated by piglins. Introduced in Minecraft version 1.16, Soul Torches are a very useful tool for exploration and survival. You can craft Soul Torches by combining these materials in a crafting table, following a specific recipe. Besides being a light source, it can also be combined with iron nuggets to make soul lanterns.
