  • English: Spruce Sign
In Minecraft, the spruce sign is a non-solid block used to display text. It can be placed on the top or side of other blocks. The text on spruce signs can be customized with dyes and glow ink sacs, and they can be waxed to prevent any player from editing it. Spruce signs can be crafted using spruce planks and a stick, producing 3 signs at a time. Signs can be used not only to label storage and display information but also to control the flow of water or lava. They can be placed on any solid block, as well as semi-solid blocks like fences or trapdoors. Players can enter up to four lines of text on a sign and use dyes to change text colors. Glow ink sacs can make the text glow. Furthermore, spruce signs can be used as fuel in furnaces, though they are not very efficient. In creative mode, players can copy a placed sign, including its text, using shortcuts. Signs also emit unique sounds and can be placed under note blocks to produce bass sounds. In addition to regular spruce signs, there are spruce hanging signs, which require chains and stripped spruce logs to craft. Hanging signs can be placed underneath blocks or with a solid self-supporting bracket. Hanging signs have a text limit of 8 characters per line, with a total of four lines. Unlike regular signs, hanging signs can only display text on one side and will not fall if the supporting block is removed. Players can walk on the horizontal mounting bar of hanging signs. Both regular and hanging signs can be edited after placement. Signs are a versatile and practical block in Minecraft.
