The Spruce Wall Sign is a block in Minecraft, not directly obtainable as an item but created by placing a Spruce Sign on the side of another block. Primarily used to display text, it can label locations, give directions, or leave messages. The Spruce Wall Sign shares its material with the Spruce Sign but differs in orientation and attachment, adhering to the surface of the block it's placed on. When broken, it drops a Spruce Sign rather than the wall sign itself. Like the Spruce Sign, it can be dyed or use glow ink sacs to change the color and glow of the text. Technically, the Spruce Wall Sign has a separate ID and state data, distinguishing it in game code from other sign types. Players cannot obtain it directly through the creative inventory, but it must be generated by placing a Spruce Sign. This block serves as a variation of the sign, allowing players to attach signs on walls or other horizontal surfaces, providing more architectural and decorative options.
