A structure block is a technical block in Minecraft primarily used for copying and pasting structures. It is unobtainable through regular means and must be acquired using the `/give` or `/setblock` commands. Structure blocks are unbreakable in Survival mode and have the same blast resistance as bedrock. The primary function of this block is to save and load various architectural structures within the game, enabling players to quickly duplicate and reuse them. Structure blocks have multiple modes, including save, load, corner, and data modes. Save mode is used to select and save a structure area, while load mode is used to place a saved structure in a new location. Corner mode is often used in conjunction with save mode to automatically calculate the size of the structure. Data mode is more specialized, used to mark specific locations during natural generation and run pre-set functions; it requires holding Alt key in Java Edition to switch to this mode. Additionally, structure blocks can export 3D models for viewing in other software.
