In Minecraft, Suspicious Gravel is a special gravity-affected block that is primarily found in various Overworld structures. Unlike regular gravel, it cannot be obtained through mining, nor can it be mined with tools enchanted with Silk Touch. Instead, players need to use a brush tool to excavate it, extracting loot specific to the structure where the block is found, while simultaneously turning it into regular gravel. Suspicious Gravel commonly appears in cold ocean ruins and trail ruins. They are more fragile than regular gravel, breaking if they fall from a height, are pushed by a piston, or affected by explosions. Additionally, Suspicious Gravel is an important source of pottery sherds. Players cannot craft suspicious gravel; it can only be found in areas where it naturally generates. In Java Edition, if Suspicious Gravel falls for more than 30 seconds, it will drop as an item, but will not retain loot. In Creative Mode, players can use Ctrl + pick block to obtain Suspicious Gravel while retaining its loot.
