Tall Grass

In Minecraft, tall grass is a two-block-high plant that is a variant of short grass. It naturally generates in biomes like plains, savannas, cherry groves, meadows, and lush caves, with approximately 8.6 tall grass per chunk. Tall grass as an item can only be found in the Creative inventory. In Survival mode, breaking tall grass will drop wheat seeds, with the amount influenced by the Fortune enchantment. Using shears drops two units of short grass. Bone meal can be used on grass to generate tall grass. Tall grass mainly serves as decoration or a source of wheat seeds. It can also be composted with a 50% chance of increasing the compost level. The color of tall grass varies slightly across different biomes. While tall grass can be placed on dirt and farmland, it doesn't grow on its own, requiring bone meal to be generated. Tall grass is flammable, but the block itself doesn't burn, allowing fire to spread to surrounding flammable materials.
