Trapped Chest

  • Chinese: 陷阱箱
  • English: Trapped Chest
A trapped chest is a special type of chest in Minecraft that, while similar to a regular chest, features a red-tinted latch and produces redstone power when opened. Two trapped chests can be combined into a large trapped chest. Trapped chests can be broken with any tool, but axes are the fastest. When broken, items contained within will drop. If one half of a large trapped chest is destroyed, the items within that half will drop, and the remaining half will continue to function as a small trapped chest. Trapped chests primarily serve as containers and redstone components. When a player opens a trapped chest, it emits a redstone signal, with the signal strength dependent on the number of players accessing the chest simultaneously. Trapped chests can be used to activate nearby TNT, thus creating traps. They naturally generate in "fake end portal rooms" within woodland mansions. Trapped chests can also be crafted by combining a regular chest with a tripwire hook at a crafting table.
