Tuff Brick Stairs

Tuff brick stairs are a stair variant in Minecraft made from tuff bricks, added in the 1.21 'Tricky Trials' update. They primarily serve as a decorative building block, allowing players and mobs to change elevation without jumping. Tuff brick stairs are crafted using 6 tuff bricks at a crafting table, producing 4 stairs at a time. In creative mode, they can be found in the inventory. They drop as an item when mined with a pickaxe, otherwise, no item is dropped. Tuff brick stairs have a hardness of 1.5 and a blast resistance of 6. They are stackable and partially block light (in Java Edition, completely in Bedrock Edition). Tuff brick stairs can be placed under note blocks to produce a 'bass drum' sound. They are similar to regular brick stairs but have a different texture. Tuff itself is an ornamental rock formed from volcanic ash, generated in underground ore blobs, mainly used for building and crafting other variants, such as polished tuff and tuff bricks.
