In Minecraft, the Verdant Froglight is a light-emitting block introduced in the 1.19 "Wild Update." It is one of three types of froglights, the others being ochre and pearlescent. It emits a light level of 15, the highest possible in the game. Players can obtain a verdant froglight by having a cold frog (green frog) eat a small magma cube. These cold frogs are acquired by allowing tadpoles to grow into adult frogs in cold biomes like snowy taigas or mountains. When a frog consumes the magma cube, it drops a verdant froglight. Besides acting as a light source, verdant froglights are used for decoration and melting nearby snow and ice. The froglight has a smooth texture and can be placed in three different orientations, similar to logs and basalt. It can be broken with any tool or by hand at the same speed, no tool makes it faster. Verdant froglights can be found in the Creative inventory or generated with commands. Additionally, they can be farmed using froglight farms, which are modified magma cube farms. These farms typically use powder snow to kill larger magma cubes, allowing small ones to drop down to frogs below for froglight collection. Overall, the verdant froglight is a useful luminous decorative block in Minecraft obtained through interaction with frogs and magma cubes.
