Languages:

  • English: Water
In Minecraft, water is a naturally generating fluid found abundantly in the Overworld. Water blocks do not exist as items in the Java Edition, but they can be collected using a bucket on a water source block or a full water cauldron, resulting in a water bucket. In Bedrock Edition, water can be obtained as an item through inventory editing or add-ons. Water naturally generates in oceans, rivers, and springs, and is also found in structures such as villages, desert wells, strongholds, woodland mansions, ancient cities, and ocean monuments. Water never naturally generates in the Nether, disappearing immediately when placed, though it can exist in a cauldron. Water is a crucial resource used for farming, crafting, and transportation. It also has various effects on players and mobs, such as drowning, slowing movement, and negating fall damage. The interaction between water and lava can produce stone, cobblestone, or obsidian. Water has multiple colors, depending on the biome.
