In Minecraft, a water cauldron is a versatile block used for storing water, lava, and powder snow. In Bedrock Edition, it can also hold potions and dyed water. It serves as a leatherworker's job site block and can be used to remove dye from leather armor. A cauldron can be obtained using any pickaxe, but if mined without a pickaxe, it drops nothing. When destroyed, its contents are lost. A single empty cauldron generates in swamp huts, while Bedrock Edition cauldrons can spawn with 1/3 to 2/3 random potion. Cauldrons are crafted from iron ingots. They can store varying water levels - three in Java Edition and six in Bedrock Edition. Cauldrons fill with rain or dripstones. Water in a cauldron doesn't freeze, absorb explosion damage, or allow swimming. It acts as a redstone comparator power source, outputting signals based on its fill level. Additionally, in Bedrock Edition, cauldrons dye leather armor and create tipped arrows.
