Weathered Copper is a unique block in Minecraft that is not crafted or smelted, but rather the result of natural oxidation of copper blocks. Copper blocks go through four stages of oxidation: initial copper color, exposed copper (with green spots), weathered copper (green with brown spots), and oxidized copper (overall teal). Weathered copper, characterized by its green color with brown spots, represents the third stage in this oxidation process. Players cannot directly create weathered copper through crafting; instead, they must wait for copper blocks to naturally oxidize in the game. Oxidation is a slow process, dependent on random game ticks. Players can halt the oxidation process by waxing copper blocks with honeycomb, or use an axe to scrape off oxidation to revert blocks to previous stages. Weathered copper is used to craft decorative items such as stairs, slabs, and carved copper blocks. Additionally, weathered copper blocks serve as building materials, lending a unique, aged look to constructions. Players can locate weathered copper in the creative mode inventory or obtain it using command codes.
