Minecraft is a sandbox game developed by Mojang Studios, a Swedish video game developer. It was originally created by Markus "Notch" Persson using the Java programming language and was released as a public beta in 2009, with a full release in 2011. In the game, players explore a three-dimensional world made of blocks, where they can gather resources, craft tools, build structures, and interact with in-game creatures. The game offers survival mode, creative mode, and various other game modes. In addition to the main game, there are also spin-off games such as Minecraft: Story Mode, Minecraft Dungeons, and Minecraft Legends. Minecraft has various platform versions, including Java Edition, Bedrock Edition, and special editions for platforms like Apple TV, with the Apple TV version being discontinued in 2018. Apples are a food item in the game that can be obtained by breaking oak and dark oak leaves, or by trading with villagers. Eating an apple restores the player's hunger.
