The Arrow of Slowness is a special type of arrow in Minecraft that applies the Slowness effect to its target. There are two primary types: Arrow of Slowness (0:11) and Arrow of Slowness (0:30), which reduce the target's movement speed by 15% for 11 or 30 seconds, respectively. These arrows are crafted by combining regular arrows with lingering potions of slowness at a crafting table. Making the Arrow of Slowness (0:11) requires 8 arrows and one Lingering Potion of Slowness (0:22), while the (0:30) variant requires 8 arrows and one Lingering Potion of Slowness (1:00). In the game, this type of arrow is often used against fast-moving enemies or to restrict the movement of opponents in player-versus-player combat. Apart from crafting, players can also acquire it by killing Stray mobs, though the arrows dropped by Strays may have incorrect NBT tags and need to be converted for proper use. The Arrow of Slowness is significant, providing a tactical option in various survival mode challenges. Furthermore, there exist other types of arrows with different effects, but the unique aspect of the Arrow of Slowness is its effectiveness at controlling enemy movement.
