Baked Potato

A baked potato is a food item in Minecraft. Players can obtain it by cooking a potato in a furnace, smoker, or campfire. Eating a baked potato restores hunger points. It restores more hunger than most crops. Because potatoes are easily obtained from villages, players can acquire an abundance of baked potatoes. Baked potatoes also have a chance to raise the level of a composter by 1. In Java Edition, baked potatoes can also be obtained by killing a zombie or one of its variants while it is on fire. Additionally, baked potatoes can be used to craft rabbit stew and can be placed in a composter, with an 85% chance of raising the compost level. Beyond being a food item, in the 24w14potato version of Minecraft, baked potatoes can be used to craft baked potato bricks, however, this is an April Fool's joke and is not in the newest stable version or snapshot.
