Birch Boat With Chest

A Birch Boat with Chest is a transportation item in Minecraft that combines the functionality of a boat and a chest. Introduced in the 1.19 Wild Update, it allows players to carry extra items while traveling on water. Crafting a Birch Boat with Chest requires a chest and a birch boat, which need to be placed in a crafting table in a specific pattern. Once crafted, players can retrieve it by attacking the boat, and the items inside will also drop. In addition to being a mode of transport, a Birch Boat with Chest can be used as fuel in a furnace, lasting for 60 seconds and smelting up to 6 items. Its inventory has 27 storage slots, similar to a regular chest, and can be accessed by sneaking and interacting with it. Unlike other storage devices, renaming a Birch Boat with Chest on an anvil does not display the custom name in its GUI. In Java Edition, breaking or opening the boat can attract piglin attacks. While it can carry entities, it can only hold one at a time due to the chest occupying the passenger seat. It behaves similarly to a regular boat, allowing for fast movement on water, and transporting players, mobs, and items.
