Black Candle

In Minecraft, the black candle is a decorative item that was first introduced in the Caves & Cliffs Update: Part I. It can be crafted by combining a regular candle with black dye. The black candle functions as a light source, emitting light similarly to a sea pickle. A single black candle emits a light level of 3, and up to four can be placed in one block space, with each additional candle increasing the light level by 3, up to a maximum of 12. Black candles must be lit using flint and steel, a fire charge, or any flaming projectile. Once lit, it emits fire particles. Additionally, a black candle can be placed on an uneaten cake, turning it into a candle cake, which will drop the candle upon the cake being eaten or destroyed. Black candles can be spawned using in-game commands, and its item ID is minecraft:black_candle. In creative mode, it can be found in the creative inventory menu.
