Cooked salmon is a food item in Minecraft obtained by cooking raw salmon. It restores a player's hunger and is a relatively easily obtainable food source. Raw salmon can be acquired by fishing, killing salmon, or in some cases, by killing other mobs. Cooked salmon is obtained by cooking raw salmon in a furnace, smoker, or campfire. In addition to consumption, cooked salmon can be used to heal wolves in Minecraft Bedrock Edition if they are not at full health, but cannot be used for breeding or accelerating pup growth. In certain versions, apprentice-level fisherman villagers may also trade cooked salmon for emeralds and raw salmon. Cooked salmon is stackable up to 64. It first appeared in update 0.11.0. Cooked salmon is a renewable resource. When mobs are killed by fire, they have a chance of dropping cooked salmon instead of raw salmon. Eating cooked salmon restores 6 hunger points and provides 9.6 saturation, the same as cooked mutton.
