Cookie
In Minecraft, the Cookie is a food item that can be obtained in large quantities, but it does not significantly restore hunger or saturation. Cookies can be acquired in various ways, including crafting with wheat and cocoa beans, trading with farmer villagers, or as gifts from farmer villagers when the player has the 'Hero of the Village' effect in Java Edition. Eating a cookie restores 2 hunger points and 0.4 saturation. However, it is important to note that in Java Edition, feeding a cookie to a parrot will instantly kill it and give it the Poison effect, while in Bedrock Edition, it will inflict the Fatal Poison effect. Besides being a food item, cookies can also be used for composting, with an 85% chance of raising the compost level when placed in a composter. Due to the low crafting cost of cookies (8 cookies can be made from 1 cocoa bean and 2 wheat), and the high success rate for composting, it is a more efficient composting material than using cocoa beans and wheat separately. Cookies were first introduced in Minecraft Beta 1.4. Originally, cocoa beans were relatively rare, but with updates, they became a renewable resource, making cookies easier to obtain.
