  • English: Dried Kelp
In Minecraft, Dried Kelp is an edible food item obtained by cooking kelp in a furnace, smoker, or campfire. Dried kelp can be consumed quickly, restoring 1 hunger point and 0.6 (Java Edition) / 0.2 (Bedrock Edition) hunger saturation. Additionally, dried kelp can be crafted into Dried Kelp Blocks, which are used to store dried kelp and act as fuel for furnaces, blast furnaces, and smokers. A Dried Kelp Block has a burn time of 200 seconds and can smelt 20 items. It also has a 50% chance to increase the compost level in a composter. Dried kelp itself has a 30% chance to increase the compost level. Both dried kelp and dried kelp blocks are renewable resources. In the game, dried kelp can be consumed twice as fast as other food items. Added in the 1.13 'Update Aquatic,' Dried Kelp is a versatile item that serves as both a food source and a fuel/building material. Its quick consumption speed and varied uses make it an important resource in the game.
