Languages:

  • Chinese: 鸡蛋
  • English: Egg
In Minecraft, an "Egg" refers to an edible item laid by chickens, which can also be thrown with a chance to hatch a chick. Additionally, "Spawn Eggs" are special items obtainable in Creative mode or through commands, used to directly spawn specific mobs. The number of spawn eggs varies across versions, such as 82 in Bedrock Edition and 80 in Java Edition. Players can use spawn eggs on any surface or via dispensers. When a spawn egg is used for a mob that has a baby form, it will spawn a baby version. Spawn eggs can also change the mob type of a monster spawner. Renaming a spawn egg on an anvil will make the spawned mob display the new name. Besides chicken eggs and spawn eggs, there are also Dragon Eggs, Turtle Eggs, Frogspawn, and Sniffer Eggs, all serving different purposes. Furthermore, Minecraft includes numerous Easter Eggs, often appearing on special occasions or in specific versions, adding fun and surprises to the game.
