In Minecraft, the Elder Guardian Spawn Egg is a special item used primarily in Creative mode or through commands to directly spawn an Elder Guardian. The Elder Guardian is a powerful aquatic mob that naturally generates only in ocean monuments. Using a spawn egg will immediately generate an Elder Guardian on a surface or in water, unlike regular eggs, which need to be thrown to hatch a creature. The Elder Guardian Spawn Egg is unobtainable through normal gameplay; it must be acquired through the Creative inventory or by using commands. An Elder Guardian spawned using the egg has the same characteristics as naturally generated ones, including firing lasers, inflicting Mining Fatigue, and releasing defensive spikes when attacked. The spawn egg can be renamed, and the spawned Elder Guardian will display its renamed name above its head, which also appears in death messages. Additionally, in Bedrock Edition, spawned mobs from spawn eggs never come with equipment.
