Emerald
In Minecraft, emeralds are rare and valuable minerals primarily used as currency for trading with villagers and wandering traders. They are rarer than diamonds. Emeralds can be obtained by mining emerald ore, which is found in mountain and windswept hills biomes. Mining emerald ore with an iron pickaxe or better will drop 1 emerald, or up to 4 with the Fortune enchantment. If mined with a Silk Touch pickaxe, it will drop the ore itself. Additionally, emeralds can be obtained through trading with villagers, killing pillagers, evokers, and foxes. Emeralds can also be used to activate beacons or craft blocks of emerald. Nine emeralds can be crafted into one block of emerald. Blocks of emerald are often used for storage and decoration, and also to power beacons. Emerald ore comes in two variants, normal and deepslate, with deepslate emerald ore being even rarer.
