Flint

In Minecraft, flint is a crucial resource primarily obtained by mining gravel. There's a 10% chance of flint dropping instead of gravel when mining a gravel block. Using a tool with the Fortune enchantment increases the drop chance, with Fortune III guaranteeing a flint drop. Flint cannot be crafted directly but is essential for crafting various items. Most notably, it's combined with an iron ingot to create flint and steel, which is used to start fires, activate nether portals, and ignite TNT. Flint is also used to craft arrows when combined with sticks and feathers. Players can also trade flint with villagers, particularly fletcher villagers, who offer flint in exchange for emeralds and gravel, or buy flint for emeralds. In creative mode, flint can be found in the creative inventory and obtained using commands. Overall, flint is a vital and versatile resource in Minecraft, crucial for crafting tools and weapons, as well as being essential for exploration and survival.
