Leather
Leather is a common renewable resource in Minecraft, primarily obtained by killing animals such as cows, mooshrooms, horses, donkeys, mules, and llamas. These animals drop 0-2 leather upon death, with the amount increased by the Looting enchantment, up to a maximum of 5. Leather can also be obtained by killing foxes holding it or by fishing. In Java Edition, leatherworker villagers will throw leather at players with the Hero of the Village effect, while in Bedrock Edition they will always buy 6 leather for 1 emerald. Leather has a wide range of uses in the game, including crafting armor, books, item frames, and bundles. Leather armor provides some protection and prevents freezing in powder snow. It can also be used to repair leather armor. Leather can be dyed to change its appearance, allowing players to customize their gear.
