Lingering Potion of Decay

The Lingering Potion of Decay is a unique potion type in Minecraft. Unlike regular potions that apply effects directly, lingering potions create a cloud on the ground when thrown, affecting any player or mob that enters the area. The Lingering Potion of Decay applies the Wither II effect for 10 seconds. This cloud starts with a radius of 3 blocks and shrinks to 0 over 30 seconds. When a player or mob enters the cloud, its radius immediately shrinks by 0.5 blocks, reducing its duration by 5 seconds. One of the primary uses of the Lingering Potion of Decay is to craft tipped arrows with the wither effect, achieved by pouring the potion into a cauldron and using arrows to soak in it. Lingering Potion of Decay can be found in the creative inventory or obtained through the /give command. The Potion of Decay cannot be brewed, but can be obtained through commands or the creative inventory. In Bedrock Edition, potions, including Healing, Poison, and Swiftness, can be found in cauldrons in swamp huts with varying probabilities. In Minecraft, the Potion of Decay is a strong damage potion that can be used to attack enemies or set traps.
