Mundane Potion

In Minecraft, the Mundane Potion is a potion with no effects. It can be created by brewing a water bottle with one of the following items: glistering melon, spider eye, magma cream, sugar, blaze powder, ghast tear, or redstone dust. Although in older versions of the game, Mundane Potions served as a base for brewing the Potion of Weakness, it has no use on its own anymore. In Java Edition, the Mundane Potion has been removed from recipes, while in Bedrock Edition it can still be used as an ingredient for brewing the Potion of Weakness. However, since the Potion of Weakness can now be brewed directly with a fermented spider eye and water, the Mundane Potion has become practically obsolete. Although the Mundane Potion has no effect itself, it can still be turned into a splash or lingering potion. In Bedrock Edition, Mundane Potions can be used to fill cauldrons but cannot be combined with other potions or water. Overall, the Mundane Potion is mostly a remnant in Minecraft and serves little to no purpose.
