Ocean Explorer Map

In Minecraft, the Ocean Explorer Map is a special type of map used to help players find rare generated structures, such as Ocean Monuments. These maps can be obtained by trading with cartographer villagers. Apprentice-level cartographer villagers sell ocean explorer maps for 13 emeralds and a compass. Each cartographer sells a map that points to a unique location, so purchasing multiple maps from the same cartographer will yield identical maps. Unlike regular maps, explorer maps show the outline of land and water bodies, with water indicated by an orange striated texture and land by a blank texture. As players approach the map's area, it fills in like a regular map. The Ocean Explorer Map is primarily used to locate Ocean Monuments, which are important resources and challenges in the game. By using these maps, players can more easily explore the deep ocean and obtain unique loot, such as sponges and prismarine.
