Potato

The potato is a common food item and crop in Minecraft. Players can obtain potatoes by planting potato crops, which grow on farmland and occasionally yield poisonous potatoes. Potatoes can be eaten raw or cooked into baked potatoes. A fully grown potato crop drops 2 to 5 potatoes and has a 2% chance of dropping an additional poisonous potato. Using a tool enchanted with Fortune increases the potato yield. Besides being a food source, potatoes can also be used to breed pigs or make villagers willing to breed. In the game, potatoes are a versatile resource, not just as an important food source, but also as an essential element of gameplay. There are also poisonous potatoes in the game, which can restore more hunger but can also poison the player. In the 2024 April Fool's update, new "powerful potatoes" and various potato peels were added, further enriching the concept of potatoes in the game. Detailed information about these can be found on the Minecraft wiki.
