Potion of Slowness

In Minecraft, the Potion of Slowness is a potion that applies a negative effect, reducing the movement speed of players or mobs. When consumed, a regular Potion of Slowness decreases movement speed by 15% for 1 minute and 30 seconds. The Slowness effect has multiple levels, with higher levels causing a greater reduction in speed. However, the standard Potion of Slowness only applies Slowness I (-15%) or Slowness IV (-60%). This potion is primarily used as a debuff rather than a buff to aid in combat or exploration. Besides direct consumption, the Potion of Slowness can be made into splash and lingering potions to affect other entities. The regular Potion of Slowness is brewed using a Fermented Spider Eye and a Potion of Swiftness. The potion's duration can be extended with Redstone Dust, and the Slowness effect can be enhanced with Glowstone Dust. Splash and lingering variants are crafted similarly, with Dragon's Breath used to create lingering potions that spread the effect across an area. The slowness effect can be removed by drinking Milk. The main purpose of the potion of slowness is to restrict the movement of hostile mobs, or to slow down your own movement under certain circumstances, in order to achieve a different strategic goal.
