Potion of Swiftness

The Potion of Swiftness in Minecraft is a consumable item that grants players increased movement speed. Upon drinking it, the player's speed is boosted by 20% for 3 minutes, aiding in faster movement for exploration, escaping danger, or gaining an edge in combat. This potion is crafted through brewing using a water bottle, nether wart, and sugar. Brewing requires a brewing stand fueled by blaze powder. The ingredients are added sequentially starting with the water bottle, then nether wart, and finally sugar. The duration of the Potion of Swiftness can be extended to 8 minutes by adding redstone dust, while adding glowstone dust will upgrade the effect to Speed II, increasing the speed boost to 40%, but reducing duration to 1 minute and 30 seconds. The potion can also be converted into splash or lingering versions for multiplayer usage. Swiftness Potions are also commonly found in Minecraft Dungeons, a spin-off game, allowing players to quickly move during combat.
