The Prize Pottery Sherd is an uncommon item in Minecraft, first introduced in the 1.20 "Trails & Tales" update. It is a type of pottery sherd primarily used for crafting decorative pots, characterized by its gemstone pattern. Players cannot craft the Prize Pottery Sherd; instead, they must explore the game world to find it. In survival mode, it is mainly found in "suspicious sand" within desert pyramids, requiring a brush for excavation. In creative mode, players can directly find it in the inventory. The Prize Pottery Sherd can be combined with other sherds or regular bricks to create unique decorative pots. Breaking a completed decorative pot will drop all crafting materials, including any Prize Pottery Sherds used. In addition to the Prize Pottery Sherd, there are over 20 other different sherds in the game with varying designs and acquisition methods, such as the Scrape Pottery Sherd, Flow Pottery Sherd, and Guster Pottery Sherd. These are often found in different ruins, like trial chambers, trail ruins, and desert temples. Each sherd features its own unique design, allowing players to create a wide variety of decorative pots.
