Raw Iron

In Minecraft, Raw Iron is an important unprocessed metal resource obtained by mining iron ore. Iron ore typically generates underground in rock layers, including regular iron ore and deepslate iron ore. Mining iron ore with a stone pickaxe or higher will drop Raw Iron. The amount of Raw Iron dropped increases if using a pickaxe enchanted with 'Fortune'. Raw Iron is necessary for making iron ingots, which are essential for crafting various tools, weapons, and armor. Players can smelt Raw Iron into iron ingots using a furnace or blast furnace. Additionally, Raw Iron can be used to craft Blocks of Raw Iron, a compact method of storing Raw Iron. These blocks cannot be smelted into iron blocks but can be broken down into nine units of Raw Iron. Raw Iron is relatively common in the game, but is crucial for player survival and progression, requiring exploration underground to find and acquire.
