Shovel
In Minecraft, a shovel is a tool used to quickly dig dirt, sand, gravel, and other soil-like blocks. Shovels not only improve digging efficiency but also convert dirt blocks into grass paths. There are various types of shovels in the game, including wooden, stone, iron, gold, and diamond, each with different durability and digging speeds. The golden shovel has the highest digging speed but the lowest durability, while the diamond shovel has high durability and can be upgraded to a netherite shovel for even higher durability and fire/lava resistance. Besides digging, shovels can also be used to extinguish fires and attack mobs, although their attack damage is low, and they lose durability faster when used as weapons. Shovels can be crafted, purchased through villager trades, or obtained by killing zombies and other mobs. The acquisition methods, attributes, and uses of shovels may slightly differ across different versions of Minecraft. In Minecraft, the shovel is an essential tool, particularly when a large amount of soil-like blocks needs to be dug.
