In Minecraft, the Slime Spawn Egg is an item used to directly spawn slimes. This item cannot be crafted and is only obtainable in Creative mode through the Creative inventory, or by using commands. The Slime Spawn Egg is green with darker green spots. To use it, simply right-click on any surface and a slime will spawn. If you use the spawn egg on an existing slime, it will spawn a baby slime. While the spawn egg is typically used in Creative mode, it can also be used in Survival mode, although it is consumed upon use. Furthermore, Slime Spawn Eggs can be used to change the mob type spawned by monster spawners. Notably, spawn eggs can be renamed using an anvil, and the renamed slime will display the name above its head, which will also appear in the death message if the slime kills a player. Certain names also produce special effects; for example, renaming a rabbit spawn egg to “Toast” will display the rabbit’s secret skin. The Slime Spawn Egg provides players with a convenient method to obtain slimes, whether for experimentation in Creative mode or for quickly spawning slimes in Survival mode.
