Splash Potion of Slowness

The Splash Potion of Slowness is a throwable potion in Minecraft that reduces the movement speed of entities it hits. In Java Edition, the duration of the effect from a Splash Potion of Slowness is the same as the drinkable version, while in Bedrock Edition, the duration is about three-quarters of the drinkable version's duration. This potion is crafted by combining a Potion of Slowness with gunpowder. Splash Potions of Slowness come in different versions with varying durations, such as 1 minute and 7 seconds and 3 minutes. Players can also use commands to spawn this potion. The potion's effect decreases the further away an entity is from the point of impact. The slowness effect reduces the target's movement speed by 15% multiplied by the level of the effect and also reduces the player's field of view. In addition to directly throwing the potion, players can pour the splash potion into a cauldron, then use glass bottles to distribute the potion, or use it on dirt to turn it into mud, creating different game effects. Witches, a hostile mob, also use Splash Potions of Slowness and other potions in combat.
