Splash Potion of Weakness

The Splash Potion of Weakness is a throwable potion in Minecraft that reduces the attack damage of affected entities for a certain duration. In Java Edition, the Weakness effect reduces melee damage by 4, while in Bedrock Edition, the damage reduction is calculated using a formula, generally resulting in reduced melee damage. One of the main uses of this potion is to cure zombie villagers, by first throwing the Splash Potion of Weakness at them and then feeding them a Golden Apple. The Splash Potion of Weakness is brewed by combining a regular Potion of Weakness with gunpowder. The regular Potion of Weakness requires a fermented spider eye as the key ingredient. The splash potion's effect covers an area around the point of impact, inflicting the Weakness effect on targets within that area. Besides combat use, the Splash Potion of Weakness can also be used to fill cauldrons. The way it's obtained and its effects can vary slightly across different Minecraft versions, such as finding it in the creative inventory. The splash potion can also be obtained through commands.
