In Minecraft, the Squid Spawn Egg is an item used to directly spawn squids. It cannot be crafted and is only obtainable in Creative mode through the Creative Inventory or by using commands. The Squid Spawn Egg has a blackish-blue appearance with gray spots. When used, it will spawn a squid when you click on any surface. In Survival mode, while spawn eggs can be used, they cannot be directly obtained and must be accessed via Creative mode or commands. Additionally, Squid Spawn Eggs can be used to change the mob that a spawner generates. A fun feature is that if you rename a Squid Spawn Egg to "Dinnerbone" or "Grumm", the spawned squid will appear upside down. Squids are passive mobs that spawn in rivers and oceans; they release ink clouds when attacked and cannot survive long on land, eventually suffocating. Using Squid Spawn Eggs, players can conveniently create squid farms for collecting ink sacs.
