Stone Sword

The Stone Sword is an early-game melee weapon in Minecraft, offering more durability and damage than a wooden sword, making it a good early option before obtaining iron. It can be crafted using cobblestone, blackstone, or cobbled deepslate along with a stick. In Java Edition, a stone sword deals 5 base damage and has an attack speed of 1.6. In Bedrock Edition, it has no attack cooldown or sweep attack, dealing 6 base damage. It is used for attacking mobs and breaking certain blocks faster, though breaking blocks decreases its durability. A stone sword can also be repaired using an anvil with cobblestone, blackstone, or cobbled deepslate to restore durability. It can also be enchanted to enhance its capabilities. Aside from crafting, Wither Skeletons have a chance of dropping a damaged stone sword.
