The Swamp Explorer Map is a special map in Minecraft used to aid players in locating specific swamp structures. These maps are obtained by trading with cartographer villagers, typically in exchange for a compass and several emeralds. Different-level cartographer villagers sell various types of explorer maps, including those leading to swamp huts. Similar to other explorer maps, the swamp explorer map displays water outlines with an orange striated texture and indicates the location of the target structure with an icon on the map. With the "Villager Trade Rebalance" experiment enabled, explorer maps can also be used to locate jungle pyramids, desert, plains, savanna, snowy, and taiga villages. In the Java Edition, each cartographer sells a unique explorer map pointing to a different location, while in the Bedrock Edition, it points to the nearest unexplored location. These maps can be cloned, allowing multiple players to explore simultaneously. It's important to note that the map only shows surface structures and does not record anything even if the player is underground. Swamp Explorer Maps are an effective tool for finding swamp huts, especially in the later stages of the game when players need to collect resources or complete specific achievements. It also provides a way for players to explore the world, encouraging them to discover unknown areas.
