In Minecraft, the yellow candle is a decorative lighting item. It was first introduced in the Caves & Cliffs Update: Part I. Players can craft a yellow candle by combining a regular candle with yellow dye at a crafting table. Yellow candles can be placed individually or stacked up to four in the same space, with the number of stacked candles affecting their light output. A single yellow candle emits a light level of 3, while four stacked yellow candles emit a light level of 12. In addition to being a light source, yellow candles can also be placed on a cake, creating a decorative cake candle. Players can light a candle with a flint and steel or fire charge, and extinguish it by interacting with it or using water. Yellow candles can also be found in some structures in the game, such as ancient cities and trial chambers, but they are mainly obtained through crafting. There are a total of 16 different colored candles in the game, with yellow being one of them. Each color of candle has its corresponding item ID and command for easy use in creative mode.
