Allay

The Allay is a friendly flying mob in Minecraft, first introduced in the 1.19 "The Wild Update". It is considered a positive counterpart to the vex. The Allay is small, emits a soft glow, and is easily visible. Players can give an item to an Allay using the use key, after which the Allay will seek out and collect dropped versions of the same item nearby, delivering them back to the player or the most recently heard note block. The Allay will lock onto the player who gave it an item, following them within a certain range and searching for items. When the Allay hears a note block playing, it prioritizes delivering items to the note block and stays nearby for 30 seconds, after which it relocks onto the player. Allays will dance when a jukebox is playing nearby. Allays can be duplicated by giving them an amethyst shard while dancing. They spawn mainly in dark oak cages near pillager outposts and in jail cells within woodland mansions.
