Blaze

The Blaze is a hostile mob in Minecraft that primarily spawns in Nether Fortresses. They are the sole source of blaze rods. Blazes attack at range by firing a trio of fireballs, or can attack with their spinning rods if a player gets too close. They spawn naturally in Nether Fortresses, often in groups of 2 or 3, or from monster spawners. Blazes are immune to fire and lava damage and can fly. When not attacking, they remain on the ground or slowly sink in the air. Despite being damaged by water, they do not avoid it. Snowballs are effective against Blazes, dealing 3 damage per hit. Defeating a Blaze yields blaze rods, a crucial resource for brewing potions and accessing the End. Blazes are formidable foes in the Nether and a key objective for resource gathering. In Minecraft Dungeons, Blazes also appear with different behaviors; they try to stay away from the player and dim when hurt, and heal when near fire.
