Cave Spider

Cave spiders are a smaller variant of spiders in Minecraft, known for their unique poison attack. Unlike regular spiders, cave spiders are smaller in size and have a dark blue or gray-blue color. They primarily spawn from monster spawners found in abandoned mineshafts, usually surrounded by cobwebs. Cave spider attacks inflict poison, which lasts for 7 seconds and deals 6 damage on normal difficulty, and 15 seconds and 12 damage on hard difficulty. The poison effect reduces a player's health to 1 but will not kill them. Cave spiders are unique because they can fit through 1x0.5 gaps and climb walls. Upon death, they drop 0-2 string and 0-1 spider eyes. Due to their poison and agility, cave spiders are considered dangerous mobs. Players exploring abandoned mineshafts should take extra care, and carrying milk to cure poison is advised. Cave spider spawners can be used to create spider farms for obtaining large amounts of string and spider eyes.
