Fox

Foxes are passive mobs in Minecraft that commonly spawn in cold biomes such as taigas, old growth taigas, snowy taigas, and groves. They are nocturnal creatures, seeking shade to sleep during the day. Foxes come in two variants: red foxes and snow foxes, depending on the biome where they spawn. Red foxes are found in taigas and old growth taigas, while snow foxes appear in snowy taigas and groves. Foxes can carry items in their mouths and prefer food. They attack chickens, rabbits, fish, and baby turtles. Additionally, foxes can jump 2-5 blocks high and will try to jump over obstacles to chase their prey. Players can breed foxes by feeding them sweet berries or glow berries, and the resulting baby fox will trust the player and not flee. Trusted foxes will retaliate when the player is attacked. Foxes also visit villages and emit unique screeching sounds at night. They are immune to sweet berry bushes and can move through them freely. Foxes are one of the few mobs in the game that can sleep, during which their head slowly moves up and down.
