Ghast

Original Title:Ghast

Languages:

  • Chinese: 恶魂
  • English: Ghast
Ghasts are iconic hostile mobs in Minecraft, primarily found in the Nether dimension. They are large, floating, ghost-like creatures with a white, cube-shaped body and nine tentacles. Ghasts typically wander aimlessly, emitting crying sounds, and upon spotting a player, they shoot explosive fireballs. These fireballs can be deflected back at the ghast, dealing significant, often one-hit kill damage. Upon death, ghasts may drop gunpowder and ghast tears, the latter being a key ingredient for regeneration potions. They spawn in the Nether Wastes, Soul Sand Valley, and Basalt Deltas biomes, but not in Nether Fortresses. Despite their ghostly appearance, ghasts are not undead mobs; they can drown, are damaged by instant damage potions, and are affected by poison. Ghasts have appeared in various Minecraft versions and spin-offs including Minecraft Dungeons and Minecraft Story Mode. They remain not only a classic enemy in the game but also a significant part of the Minecraft culture.
